Dan Greef is Labour’s candidate for Queen Edith’s ward in the city council election this May. Dan has a strong record campaigning with Save the Children to protect the foreign aid budget, against the closure of Children’s centres and attended the high court hearing with Labour peer Lord Dubs to help bring abandoned refugee children to the UK. Dan also was Labour’s parliamentary candidate for South Cambridgeshire in 2015 and 2017.
Dan says: “Queen Edith’s ward is a beautiful place to live and I want to keep it that way. We face huge pressures as the Bio-medical campus grows and from other neighbouring businesses and colleges. I pride myself in working for the local community to deliver sustainable change that doesn’t clog up our streets. I also want to stand up for residents in the face of selfish developments and hold developers to account to their affordable and social housing responsibilities. It’s about time Queen Edith’s ward had an effective voice at the City Council, I am standing to be that voice.”
